   Job Title : Financial Counsellor

   Job Specifications

   1. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related fields.
   2. Two years of stated experience in same field.
   3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required in order to communicate effectively with patients, physicians and support personnel
   4. Must be fluent in both English and Arabic.
   5. Strong problem-solving skills required to coordinate multiple resources.
   6. Experience processing medical insurance claims is helpful.

   The financial counsellor duties are:
   1. Assessing a patient’s liability
   2. Determining whether they are eligible for charity care.
   3. Assist patients who are unable to pay their estimated liability prior to treatments or who have large existing balances to assess their liabilities.
   4. Take care of Patients requesting payment plans or financial hardship consideration.
   5. Prepare and report unpaid patient accounts.
   6. Resolves complex collection issues and follows up on unresolved issues including insurance or patient complaints in a timely, courteous, and cost effective manner.
   7. Performs financial and insurance pre-screening to make appropriate recommendation for point-of-service patients
   8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
