He did not comment on the Dh4.25 opening price of the scrip, saying that the market forces has to determine the prices. Shaikh Sultan said that Dana Gas is involved in lots of initiatives, as the oil and gas sector is offering exciting opportunities in the areas of exploration, production, transportation, processing, and petrochemicals. &#8220;Our company has plans in all these areas&#8221;, he asserted. Dana Gas, he said will acquire share holding interests as well as initiate its own projects. Abdullah Nasser Hawaileel, director of Dana Gas said that the investment scene in oil and gas is undergoing tremendous transformation and companies like Dana Gas are there to grab the opportunity in the upstream as well as downstream sector. He said that five years back, there was no concept of private companies taking part in the oil and gas business, but now things are changing fast and in the coming few years, the region&#8217;s oil and gas business would have greater share of private sector investments.
