The second part is often a present participle <font>(e.g. good- looking)<\/font> or a past participle <font>(e.g. well-known). <\/font>They usually have a hyphen before a noun, (e.g. a<font> well-known <\/font>actress, a <font>good-looking<\/font> man ) and we usually pronounce both parts with equal stress.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"4\"><font>B- Describing people<\/font>.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"4\"><font>Many compound adjective describe a person&#8217;s appearance, character and situation.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"4\"><font color=\"#000000\">This is Bill. He isn\u2019t <font>well-known<\/font>(= famous), he isn\u2019t <font>well-off<\/font>(= rich), and nobody says he is <font>good-looking<\/font>(= very nice\/ attractive to look at). But he is a nice man \u2013 kind, and <font>easy going <\/font>(= relaxed and easy to be with).
